Seahorse Institute offers intervention and support programs across a child’s life cycle from age two and on. Below, find brief summaries of each program.

Hope Program

Caters to individuals between age 2 and adult with autism or language and behavioral difficulties. This program implements Applied Behavior Analysis-Verbal Behavior (ABA-VB) based procedures to increase
appropriate skills (communication, social/play, academics, motor skills, activities of daily-living, etc.) with a 1:1 teacher to student ratio. The program is overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Indigo Program

Caters to individuals between age 2 and adult with developmental delays. The Indigo Program is an integration of Speech Language Therapy (SLT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) philosophies and teaching strategies. These disciplines mutually focus on understanding and improving receptive and expressive language, adaptive learning, academic and literacy skills, behavior and social communication. Goals are established through assessment by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and certified Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) and sessions are done individual (1:1) or in small groups (1:4). The program is overseen by both BCBA and SLP.

School Within a School Program

Seahorse Institute works hand in hand with Pembroke Academy to provide academic, speech and language, and developmental enrichment in an inclusive setting. Through inclusion, the program aims to foster positive peer relationships and learning interactions with typical developing individuals while student needs are met from one-one one pull outs by on-site Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) instructors. The program caters to individuals with developmental or language delays as early as 3 months old.

*ABA – Applied Behavioral Analysis
