The Indigo Program provides intervention to teach functional language and social-communication skills seen through requesting, labeling, and conversing. It offers a unique blend of SLP and ABA teaching principles. Both fields support the importance of verbal behavior, prompting, and reinforcement techniques during teaching.  Generalization of skills learned are also taken into consideration to ensure that learned responses are used broadly across settings, situations, and people. This program double benefits your child as both the ABA therapist and Speech therapist will share inputs into the learner’s target goals. Reducing challenging behaviors that arise from difficulties from communication are carefully considered through a functional analysis approach.
